It's Swingin' Time

Trevis has been working hard this week

here is what he has been working on...

first...he laid out all the parts

(sort of)

then he built the main structure of the club house
the kids were big helpers


here they are bringing Daddy the floor boards

Abby is tired...it's hard work waiting for the swingset to be built

This day in History...

In light of today
way back in 1846

the first baseball game with modern rules was played

Brawn playing t-ball

he has his hitting ritual down

tap the base 2x

and take a practice swing

he likes to smell the leather when he is in the outfield

he is ready to "call it"

and is always standing ready

he has a great throw

isn't he a good looking baseball player!!!

Gymnast of the month!!!

Alexis went to her "gymnasnics" class

as she likes to call it

and was presented with a certificate

she was selected as the gymnast of the month

Miss Alena said she has been working very hard

the certificate was fun

but I think she liked the frozen fruit bar that came with it even more

she ate it before I could get a picture

a literal description

The conversation went like this...

Alexis: mommy can I have one of those things?

Me: what things?

A: those white things?

M: what white things?

A: those white things with the two breads?

M: what?

A: those white things with the two breads in the freezer...

M: Oh! you mean...

an ice cream sandwich!!!

I guess it really is a white thing with two breads

She's a roller

I put Abby down on her little play mat

I went to the other room to put some clothes away
but, when I come back...
she is not on her little mat
where is she???

she is across the room
she rolled across the carpet

she is quite proud of herself

she needs to quit watching all these older babies
she is learning too much from them
